How strong is the hold?

Most of the moustache waxes above are a medium all-day hold, but check the product description for each one to make sure you get the right one for your facial hair.

How to use the wax?

To use the wax, simply keep it warm (such as in your pocket) during the day, then use the back of your fingernail to remove a small amount, soften it between your thumb and forefinger, smooth it into your moustache in the direction you want to style the hairs, then finish with a twist if you like that look.

How much do you have to use?

You will usually only need to use a very small amount of wax, however this will depend on the length of your moustache. We recommend using the back of your finger nail to remove a small amount, and test going up in quantity until you find an amount that works for your beard.

What ingredients are in the wax?

The main ingredient in moustache wax is beeswax (Cera Flava) which gives the wax its texture as well as the strong hold. Petroleum jelly (petrolatum) is also used to make it easier to apply.  There are various other natural ingredients added to give it more beneficial effects and fragrances, such as Vanilla, Citrus, Menthol, Sandalwood, Eucalyptus, Argan oil, Shea butter, Cedarwood, Limonene, Tocopherol, and other essential oils.

Does it feel oily?

The wax won't feel overly oily if you don't use too much of it. Start off with a small amount, and you can gradually move up from there to find which amount works well for you. It's similar to beard oil and beard balm in that respect.

How big is the container?

The tin containers of this wax are 15ml, so perfect for fitting in your pocket.

Is wax good for a moustache?

Yes wax can help moisturise the hair and skin underneath your moustache, helping to keep the moustache hairs healthy and growing strongly. It will also prevent dandruff in your moustache.

Why use moustache wax?

Moustache wax (or mustache wax for Americans) is a stiff type of pomade used on your moustache to help hold the hairs in place and style it. It also has the added benefit of moisturising the hair and the skin beneath it. They are usually scented and have essential oils added to them. It will also help stop your moustache tickling your upper lip, and getting in the way when kissing your significant other.

Can you use vaseline on your moustache?

Vaseline doesn't help your moustache grow, that is a myth. You can use vaseline on your moustache, but it will leave your beard feeling and looking greasy, which isn't what you want.

Can you style your moustache without wax?

Yes, you can use a hairdryer, a beard comb and a beard brush, and your hands to train your moustache without wax. First, blow-dry your beard downwards using your comb to push all hairs downwards, then brush underneath the edges of your moustache up and outwards to get it off your lips, then finish with your hands by styling the hair outwards.
