RazoRock GOAT Double-Edge Safety Razor – CNC 316L Stainless Steel

The RazoRock GOAT Double-Edge Safety Razor is a precision CNC-machined DE safety razor inspired by the legendary German 34-style razor. Designed and manufactured in Ontario, Canada, the GOAT combines a traditional three-piece design with modern CNC machining and durable 316L marine-grade stainless steel construction.

Available in standard GOAT and GOAT+ versions, along with different handle options, the razor can be tailored to suit your preferred shaving style and level of aggression.

Precision CNC-Machined 316L Stainless Steel

The RazoRock GOAT is CNC milled from solid 316L stainless steel, a material renowned for its strength, durability and excellent resistance to corrosion.

The razor is fully CNC machined to tight tolerances, providing a precise blade fit and a solid, high-quality feel in the hand. The 316L construction also makes the GOAT exceptionally well suited to the demands of regular wet shaving.

Inspired by the German 34

The GOAT takes its design inspiration from the classic German 34-style safety razor, a design that has become an important reference point in traditional wet shaving.

RazoRock has reinterpreted this familiar concept using modern CNC manufacturing, creating a robust stainless steel razor while retaining the straightforward three-piece format that makes traditional safety razors so appealing.

GOAT & GOAT+ Aggression Options

The RazoRock GOAT is available in two versions, allowing you to choose between different levels of shaving aggression.

GOAT – Medium Aggression

The standard GOAT is rated as medium aggression, approximately 17–19 on the RazoRock aggression scale.

It features slightly positive blade exposure, offering a balance between efficiency and control.

GOAT+ – Medium-Aggressive

The GOAT+ increases the aggression level to approximately 26–28 on the RazoRock aggression scale.

It features positive blade exposure and is designed for shavers looking for a more assertive and efficient shave.

Choose Your Handle

The GOAT is available with a choice of handle configurations, or as a razor head only.

Hollow HD Short Handle

  • Length: 82mm
  • Diameter: 13mm
  • Butt-end diameter: 14mm
  • Approximate weight: 56g

Hollow HD Long Handle

  • Length: 100mm
  • Diameter: 13mm
  • Butt-end diameter: 14mm
  • Approximate weight: 76g

Bulldog Handle

  • Length: 90mm
  • Approximate weight: 79g

The razor uses an M5 x 0.8 thread, allowing the head to be paired with other compatible handles.

Tool-Like Vibratory Finish

Rather than using a mirror-polished finish, RazoRock uses a three-stage, 24-hour machine vibratory finishing process.

This process is designed to deburr and smooth the components while having minimal effect on the precision machining tolerances.

As a result, each GOAT has its own individual appearance. Milling marks, finishing marks and small imperfections can be present, and the metal-on-metal contact between the handle and base plate may create a ring mark over time.

This is intentional: the GOAT is designed as a precision shaving tool rather than a jewellery-style polished razor.

A Razor Built for Long-Term Use

With its solid 316L stainless steel construction and precision-machined components, the RazoRock GOAT is designed to provide years of reliable service when properly cared for.

Its durable construction, replaceable DE blades and interchangeable handle options make it a practical choice for traditional wet shavers looking for a long-term razor.

How to Use the RazoRock GOAT

  1. Unscrew the handle and separate the razor head.
  2. Place a standard Double Edge razor blade between the top cap and base plate.
  3. Reassemble the razor and tighten the handle securely.
  4. Check that the blade is seated correctly before shaving.
  5. Use a quality shaving soap or cream to create a protective lather.
  6. Shave using light pressure and controlled strokes, allowing the razor to do the work.
  7. Rinse the razor thoroughly after use.

The GOAT+ has a higher level of aggression, so it is particularly important to use light pressure and maintain good shaving technique.

Safety Razor Care & Maintenance

316L stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, but good razor care will help keep your GOAT performing at its best.

  • Rinse the razor thoroughly after each shave.
  • Remove any remaining soap or shaving cream from the head and handle.
  • Dry the razor after use.
  • Periodically disassemble the razor for a more thorough clean.
  • Avoid dropping the razor, as this can damage the precision-machined components.
  • Do not be concerned by minor milling or finishing marks — these are characteristic of the vibratory finishing process.
