Scotsman Alexander Simpson started producing shaving brushes and male grooming products in 1919. He is widely regarded as a pioneer in the industry. The manufacturing was originally based in the East end of London, then later in Clapham. After losing his factory during the World War II German Luftwaffe blitz in 1941, production was moved to the West Country at the famous Nimmer Mill. Today, Simpson shaving brushes and associated products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited on the historic Isle of Man. They continue to be produced in the traditional way using hand-tied knots by time-served skilled workers.

The wait has certainly been worth it, as you will experience after your first application. A rich Sandalwood accord with supporting notes of Geranium, Patchouli, Musk, and Tonka bean ensures your skin inherits all that is great from this classical scent.

After your shave, apply a small amount of balm into the palm of your hands and gently massage it into your face to leave your skin feeling soothed, moisturised, and invigorated.
